kate loves her dad

One of the first things Kate asks in the morning is "where is Dad?"
MyKel: "he is at work."
Kate "when will he be home?"
MyKel "when his work is done."
Kate "when is that?"
MyKel "maybe at dinner time."
Soon after we talk like this we head for breakfast & without fail sometime during breakfast Kate will then ask "where is Dad?"
MyKel " he is at work "
Kate (whining now) " you said he would be home for dinner."
We then have to talk about the difference of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
My question is......We have this exact conversation every morning...... Can you teach retention?
