carving

Monday I was encouraged by some anxious little girls to carve pumpkins.
  read...never ending begging...
This one shows how much they loved it!
We did wait for Dad to come home to put the faces on.  There were more smiles for that one.
Kate took this one, if I let her take some pictures then she will let me take pictures of her.
Thanks Kate for holding so still and letting me play with the camera.

Thursday night I was just starting to get the girls ready for bed when I noticed amazingness out side...
 Giant Snow Flakes!
Had to just take a moment to experience the wonder.

cold

How can the colder air not make you smile...
She hasn't taken that hat off for 2 days.  I am loving it.

apple cider

They are at school, the rain is tapping on my window, the fire is glowing and my apple cider is warm.
Just let me take a minute...It's a good day.

weekends

I am the first one around here to cheer for Fridays.
But a quiet Monday morning all alone, makes me smile every time.
I love the rain, the fall colors and right now I am pretending toy stroller marks on my carpet are really vacuum lines.
Hayli had to take head shots for dance, Stephanie let me throw the other two in last minute, I counted them as back to school pictures for 2012-2013.  Thanks Stephanie for getting those done for me.  I love it that I have such smart friends!
Happy Monday!

canyon

So I took the girls for a afternoon drive...
While we were in this 'yellow' section Hayli asked "I wonder what it looks like at night?"  It took me a minute  to understand but then I realized, the colors are so vibrant she thought they might glow in the dark. :)
Well the leaves didn't glow in the dark,
But it was as amazing as I knew it could be... yes it poured rain as we found our way home.
Soon I will find a pile of leaves and let the girls run and play...
Well done Utah fall, Good show!

fall break

We have been missing 2.  No they don't share our last name but they have been engraved on our hearts as if they did.
We crafted, played games, watched a movie.
The Moms may have even ran (not walked) away to grab dinner and great conversation! Thanks Davis and Hayli for being the babysitters!
It rained, the power went out for 2 1/2 hours wish I had taken pictures of hide and seek, mostly wanted to catch the giggles.  Great to hear those sounds in your dark house.  So glad Kelsey and Madison were here to help the girls overcome the "blackout blues"!
We pulled weeds in the rain, Kelsey and Madison spent the night while their parents had a anniversary.  More crafts, more movies and lots of wii. :)
Spent a lot of time dressed like this...
Fall break, although not long enough, we loved having you here.
Desperate to get to the canyon however it WILL happen this week!

positive

So I have mentioned a few of the positives of our move.  Some of the positives were expected...the reason we purchased our home.  Some have been unexpected helping us love our home even more.

Others have been well less than positive...
YES that is exactly what you think it is.  We have added these treasures to the decor.  The flies have been outrageous!   We have been at our wits end trying to rid us of these pests.  We purchased the outhouse decor after a recommendation from my brother in law, "takes one day and they are gone."
Lets hope I wake to a fly free home.

general conference

I adore General Conference, I have said it a million times, but it still holds true.  Hands down my favorite church meetings ever! :)
We played a few games,
 ate a few treats,
Even painted some fingers and toes. Went through the costume bins tried everything on, ran around twirling and laughing as they played dress up.
After wearing a top hat for the entire day ultimately decided that we have nothing good and we will need to buy all new costumes this year....but on a positive note the storage room is unpacked!  We are getting there, slowly but surely..

pumpkins

We discovered a pumpkin patch in the back yard!
3 perfect orange treasures.
Turns out we love picking pumpkins in our pajamas while waiting for conference to start. :)
And a couple little ones perfectly round.
 Thanks Art...
"These two mine Mom, right? These two mine."
yes little one "these two" for you.

grass

All Casey has wanted was a bigger yard.  So we got one.  Of course our whole family will benefit but after mowing the first time with the little push mower (took him over 2 hours), Brian let him borrow the rider. I can definitely see where we need one of our own but who knew mowing the lawn was such a family activity.
My favorite part, after listening to the squeals of delight, was watching Casey try to keep the girls hair from blowing in his face. Girls and hair we have a lot of both.  :)
Anyone want to mow the lawn? We think it is just as fun as Disneyland!  OK, maybe not Disney but for sure better than watching TV.
