She has done 16 of them this summer. All of them Disney. From 500 to 150 pieces. She has glued them and hung them in the playroom.
She whistles and sings while looking for the perfect fit. She loves to have help, (especially if it is her Dad) but is quick to point out the ones she did all by herself. Sometimes she does them on a card table in the backyard other times at the bar in the kitchen. Needless to say if you see one grab it for me, we have cleared out Walmart's shelves.

cattle run
We saw the long horns saunter down main street...
With some of our most favorite people to share a patch of curb with.
The sun was bright, but we ended with Lucy letting me pull her first loose tooth!
She was totally brave, no tears, I told her I would try 2 times but really it took 3 pulls but she didn't complain, so worth the quarter I paid her to let me get it! Something about just hanging there teeth I have to get them.

george flip
the girls, especially Kate, really want a dog...
This was the best I could commit to. We tried having a dog twice, I am not surewe I would try again.
As you can see we are over the moon with excitement. Meet the newest member of our family... Hayli calls him George, Kate calls him flip.. He hasn't really shown a preference so, I guess the double name might stick.

62 miles & a bang
For Fathers day Clyde wanted to go to the cabin. Trying to get Casey away from cell phone service is hard in the summer. We made it to a charming little town where Casey thought was the limit any further no phone...we stayed for about a hour, I took pictures, the girls ran around and yes Casey solved all the problems single handed.
When we did make it to the cabin we ran into the littlest baby fawn I have ever seen. He was adorable! Just Rachel, Hayli and I in the rino so we had to have a photo, so wish I had done a better job. He tried to climb up to the trees without success, finally his mom came back and nudged him up. So fun to see!
Speaking of the rino we decided to put them to the test this trip. Clyde and Lorraine also bought one this year so it was 8 kids and 8 adults-- 2 four weelers and 2 rinos. We were packed in tight but we made it over 62 miles. The kids were SO good only just starting to complain towards the end.
We had a picinic lunch after the first 10 or so miles with powder donuts and doritos. Meet Bryn, she and I got to snuggle a lot on our ride, she agrees camping food is the best!
There was enough dust to go around no one had to go without!
Stand by this beautiful stream and I'll get a amazing picture thought the mom... Gen didn't want to. Still such a great stop, we needed this little stream to cool off and we might have washed a face or two as well.
Happy Fathers day Clyde.
We made it home just in time to see the fireworks, freshly showered and in our pajamas. A little sad we missed the festivities. I love the way our little town celebrates.
We had a little get together on Sunday for my side. As usual I pulled the camera out but apparently I was to busy eating and such to take a picture, nevertheless Fathers day was a success!

summer
I love perfectly put together ready for church little girls...
But there is something about the late afternoon sun on a swimmers sagging pigtails that just makes me smile. It was a good day. I really don't even remember why.. summer afternoons in the backyard.. make a good day.

footprints
Anyone else with foot prints in the fridge?
just us huh, weird.
OK in Kate's defense she was cleaning the fridge but I have to say walking in on it still surprised me. Of course now that I have had time to think about it I'm not sure why it surprised me. (For the record we own several stools of different heights she could have used.) Before you think we have broken child labor laws, they want new treasures, they have to earn the money. And yes I make them do the chores I hate to earn money.

lizards,snakes,turtles
Sam had a birthday
so we got to learn all about the creepy
the slithery
and the crawly
And one fluffy gigantic rabbit, no one hesitant to touch this pet!
Gentry was by far the most excited stayed right with the group and touched everything...the older the girl, the more nervous she was. Kate touched a few and came back by us when the big snake came out. Hayli--I couldn't tell if she was acting old or she was afraid, either way she hung out way in the back :)
Happy Birthday Sam, thanks for having us.

temple
We found ourselves at the temple with a camera again, my sister in-law had a idea we wanted to try.
yes we were there for her family but I had to throw my kids, straight from the sprinklers, in for a try.
wish I hadn't cropped the steeple. Ok so there are a few things that make it not a perfect picture, but I still think it turned out pretty cute. Might try it again one day.
