toyota jump

So on the first day of kindergarten and joy school we tried ,
I even solicited help from the neighbors to get them to jump at the same time.
Apparently this is something you practice before the you can get *the shot*....I will be working on it.

joy school

She is thrilled!   Its a big day!
She kept saying "I'm a big girl right mom?"
Congrats on growing too fast, baby girl!
ps.  I was talking with Gen about growing up and that maybe she should stop.
Kate over heard ...
Kate " Mom someday you have another baby in your tummy and we will have 300 babies."
me    " um no I don't think so"
Kate " yeah Mom, that is how it works."

kindergarten

She has be trying to be patient,  She was made to wait SO long.
We met Mrs. Weaver last week and she asked so many questions, Kate played shy and tried not to answer as many as she could get away with like,  "What is your whole name"  Kate would only answer Kate, no middle no last.  Hope Mrs. Weaver is suprised when Kate really shows her what she can do.
Good luck little one can't wait to see you at 12:08!

strength

So the only thing I can put together is, there must be only so many times little girls underwear can be bleached...
OR those green smoothies have really been working out and Gentry now has *Popeye spinach* strength!
She came out of the the bathroom so confused... help! I of course couldn't stop laughing.

flying

This afternoon Kate was screaming my name from the backyard, I went to investigate the emergency.
Kate yells at me "Can't you see I'm FLYING?!"
Way to go Kate your feet officially touch the leaves of the trees! You are flying!

4th grade

This year with new (or maybe old) confidence,  Hayli didn't feel the need for "meet the teacher night".  She already knows Mrs. Young.
But that doesn't stop the excitement of meeting up with old friends, determining who she thought she would play with this year.  No one from our neighborhood in her class this time, but no worries, after studying the class list she already had a plan!
Hope this school year meets up with all your expectations little one, can't wait to hear the *report*!  Yes, last night she talked me into the new bob, and frankly I think it's adorable!
PS, When I asked Hayli to toss her laundry down so I could do wash while she was gone,
her reply,  "Um, I'll just wear new clothes now so don't worry about it."

canyon

Sunday we decided to take a drive, the Loop as they call it.
I could not believe the view,
We rolled down the windows, and let the cool wind blow over us.
Stopped for a bit to take a stroll among the flowers,
I can't imagine a better way to say goodbye to summer.
Summer, you were good to us.
 Can't wait till next time.
PS.   Kate "if we never cut our grass, flowers would grow?"
Me  " I'm not sure, should we give it a try?"
Kate " OK, but don't grow the poky ones."

pool 3

St. George has lizards, Not really something my girls would care much about.  Till there was one in the hot tub. Let me tell you that was front page news for quite some time!
Kate has had a few years of swim lessons, but every summer she has to be reminded how to scissor kick and  such... But this trip she discovered a new friend!
The kick board.  She gained confidence fast and was soon all over the pool.
St. George is just that kind of place where you can ride on the handle bars!  OK her bum was sore by the time we circled the block, but she was SO excited in the beginning...
Another favorite was letting the hose run off the deck to the concrete patio, the kids called it the waterfall, They loved this so simple and yet so much fun. Water is bathtub warm straight from the hose!
To say we enjoy our trip is such a understatement, the girls got all their school clothes, swam, played hard, and the mom and dad had some down time too.  Can't wait to go back!  Fall break?..sounds great to me!

pool 2

At age 2 Kate and Hayli both started swim lessons, so Gentry just turned 3 and never had a official swim lesson, I know it is so hard to be the baby!
She often starts out so brave but her desire to be independent soon teaches her she is going to sink.  So she ended up spending most of her time on the steps with Barbie, she doesn't love to be held in the pool to much.
She does give the best hugs when she believes her life hangs in the balance...:)
And even though I don't think her head ever went all the way under the water, she fought for her turn with the goggles!
Just one of the big kids, just ask her.

Empty

My house feels pretty empty tonight...
The girls and Casey are enjoying the *Daddy-Daughter camp out* this weekend.
It is really quiet,  but I have to say I'm lovin' it!  Off to enjoy take-out and a redbox, yeah me!
